Artist Statement
Like many, my artistic expression was born out of and nurtured by my immediate environment. Living in Baltimore, I am often under the impression that my home is a place of beauty overlooked, potential unrecognized. Through the medium of film photography, the aim of my work is to embrace this potential through realist and authentic compositions, thereby opening the viewer’s eyes to the untapped beauty and elegance surrounding us all. I feature scenes that anyone could witness in their daily life, but presented so as to amplify their mystery, symmetry, and aesthetic self-containment. My goal is to present these visual elements as being entangled with all aspects of our everyday life, and therefore readily available to every individual, Look around - Beauty abounds!
